Diabetes NZ: Marlborough Meet Up & Mini Golf
Description
Marlborough Type 1 Diabetes Whānau Catch-Up & Mini Golf! Join Diabetes NZ Nelson Youth for a relaxed, family-friendly catch-up at Riverlands Roadhouse in Marlborough!
This get-together is for everyone living with type 1 diabetes, of all ages, and their families! Whether you're a parent of a young child with type 1, a teenager, an adult living with type 1, or a family member wanting to connect with others, you're all warmly welcome.
Kids, siblings, parents and wider whānau are encouraged to come along! It's a great opportunity for children and young people to meet others living with type 1 diabetes, while parents and adults can enjoy a chat, share experiences and make connections.
The main focus of our get-together is a relaxed catch-up at the Riverlands Roadhouse café. Come along for a coffee, a chat and the chance to connect with other people and families living with type 1 diabetes in Marlborough. The café will be open, with food and drinks available to purchase at your own expense.
For kids (and adults!) keen to have some fun, there's also the option to enjoy a round of mini golf and contribute your minutes of movement to our nationwide One Million Minutes of Movement challenge for Diabetes Action Month 2026!
Mini golf is completely optional, and anyone wishing to play can pay directly at Riverlands Roadhouse on arrival.
Children: $5 per person
Adults: $9 per person
Whether you're playing mini golf, watching the kids have fun or simply enjoying a catch-up at the café, we'd love to have you join us!
Please RSVP by 8pm on Thursday 12 November 2026, this will help us reserve an area in the café large enough for everyone to sit together.
RSVP now or email to find out more (amanda@diabetes.org.nz).
We'd love to see our Marlborough type 1 diabetes community come together for a relaxed catch-up, new friendships and some family fun! All ages welcome! 💙
