We are delighted to have the opportunity to hear from one of the luminaries of lived experience leadership in disability to kickstart the Disability Inclusion Festival at the University of Sydney.
Tom Shakespeare is a Professor of Disability Research at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He has published over a dozen books and one hundred academic papers on disability, and additionally two novels (The Ha-ha and The Ends). He is the author of Disability Rights and Wrongs and Disability - The Basics.
