Disc Golf - Have a go!

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Ever wanted to have a go at Disc Golf?

Maybe you've driven past the course by the EA Networks Centre and noticed others having fun playing it. Well now it's your chance to have a go!

Join Phill Hooper (Hoops) and other local disc golf enthusiasts as they explain how to play, and give you tips as you go around the course. The sport is rather like golf but you use a flying disc instead of a club and ball. Different discs are used depending on the shot you need, with the aim to get the disc into the metal basket in as few throws as possible.

Disc Golf is a great way for people of all ages and fitness levels to be active. So bring your kids, your nana, your flatmates, or come alone and we'll connect you up with others to play the game. We'll provide the discs and some instruction and then it's all about giving it a go and having fun. Play all 18 holes or head off when you need to.

Please register so we know how many people to expect, how many discs we'll need to source and can let you know if it's canceled for any reason.
(If you have your own discs bring them along!)

This event is one of 5 free events organised by Keep Learning Mid Canterbury for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Each day this week we are focusing on one of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, a set of simple actions that can benefit everyone. The focus of this event is BE ACTIVE - Me Kori Tonu.
