Mindful Walk - Ashburton Domain
Event description
Often in our busy lives, it's hard to stop to take notice of the beauty in the world around us. So here's your chance! Leave your phone and computer behind and head to the beautiful Ashburton Domain for a quiet, mindful, early evening stroll.
Craig Paterson from the the Council's Open Spaces Team will guide us around parts of the domain, helping us to take notice of our surroundings.
Discover some hidden gems in the Domain and as you tune in to the physical sensations around you, letting the sights, smells and sounds fill your senses, experience the feeling of creating space for yourself - space to breathe and space to just be in the present moment.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in a quiet, contemplative walk. Suitable for those in mobility scooters/ wheelchairs. If the weather is dreary, we'll still go ahead, but if it is very wet we may need to postpone. Those registered will get news of any postponements.
Please register so we know how many to expect. We will start the walk from the Domain entrance at the corner of Wills and West St.
This event is one of 5 events organised by Keep Learning Mid Canterbury for Mental Health Awareness Week.
