Event description

Come and join Port Environment Centre for a Discovery Walk on Kaurna Country to RB Connolly Reserve, North Haven.

Discovery Walks are designed to connect you with nature and community and are offered by Port Environment Centre in 2022.

We invite you to join us on an urban adventure through the streets of North Haven to RB Connolly Reserve.

Nestled in the backstreets of North Haven, RB Connolly Reserve is a small pocket of native vegetation that provides an insight into the type of vegetation that would have been plentiful in the area prior to urban development.

This walk is approx. 5km over a 2 hour period and a moderate level of fitness is needed.

Meeting spot: Catherine Hutton Reserve (the Beach Pit Cafe) Lot 904 Lady Gowrie Drive, North Haven (there is a public toilet here).

Meeting time: please meet the group at 9.45am so we can be ready to start promptly at 10am

Initially we walk approx. 2.5km one way through the urban streets of North Haven to RB Connolly Reserve where we will learn about the Reserve, how it became a Bush For Life site and the work of local volunteers.

Walking surfaces include footpaths, soft sand, and grass.

What to wear/bring:
