Murray River, Lakes & Coorong Tourism Destination Management Plan - Stakeholder Engagement Session 1 (Tailem Bend)
Description
Have your say about tourism in the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong region
Join the discussion about our region’s vision and priorities and help shape tourism outcomes that support our people, communities, and places to thrive.
The South Australian Tourism Commission, in partnership with the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong Tourism Alliance, is developing a Destination Management Plan (DMP) for our region. This plan will align with the refreshed South Australian Tourism Plan 2030, released in June 2025.
Our DMP will help guide tourism priorities and aspirations for the Murray River, Lakes, and Coorong, aiming to create positive outcomes that support our local people, communities, and places to thrive. It will inform tourism activities in the region, ensuring that time and resources are focused where they can have the greatest impact. It will also serve as a valuable tool to advocate for investment in our regional priorities.
As a valued member of our regional tourism community, you are invited to contribute your perspective by attending one of two upcoming Industry & Community Engagement Workshops: Tailem Bend (see below to register) or Mannum. Please follow this link to register.
These in-person workshops are an opportunity to shape the future of tourism in our region. Tourism already plays an important role here, and together, we’ll explore how it can continue to grow its positive impact across community, economy, and environment in ways that reflect our shared aspirations.
No prior reading or specialist knowledge is required all ideas and perspectives are welcome.
Can't make this workshop. A second workshop will be held in Mannum the following day, Wednesday, 4th March, from 10 am - 12 noon. Please follow this link to register.
The APEX Bar will be open after the event for anyone who would like to stay on for informal drinks and a bit of networking.
