DHAWURA NGILAN IN ACTION: BUSINESS WORKSHOP

The Dhawura Ngilan Business and Investor Initiative invites you to a practical training workshop on how to align business practices with First Nations expectations for cultural heritage protection, including the right to Free, Prior and Informed Consent.

Discover how to apply the twenty Dhawura Ngilan Business and Investor Principles that represent leading practice in cultural heritage management across operations and strategy. This is your opportunity to engage with Dr Terri Janke, a leading Indigenous expert and author of the Principles, to hear from other businesses on their implementation of the Principles, including BHP, and to engage in interactive group activities.

This full-day workshop is designed for businesses — including employees at mid-senior levels — to deepen their understanding of, and get practical insights into, how to responsibly protect First Nations cultural heritage.

The Initiative is led by the First Nations Heritage Protection Alliance (FNHPA) in partnership with Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) and UN Global Compact Network Australia.
