Event description

D&D at Roll For It 2025

Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or you've never rolled a d20 before, you are most welcome to join us on the 10th of May for a day of Dungeons & Dragons in Freo Town Hall.

This is an opt-in event happening inside Roll For It 2025.

Basically, we're doing 1-hour adventures at tables 1 and 2, and 2-hour adventures at tables 3, 4, and 5.

The1-hour adventures are streamlined one-shot adventures designed for people who've never played before or have only played a few games. Just grab a free ticket for the timeslot that appeals to you.

The 2-hour adventures are designed for more experienced players, though everyone's welcome. There are level 1, level 2, and level 3 games. Just grab a free ticket for the timeslot and character level that appeals to you. Alternatively, if you feel like having a massive day of D&D, get tickets to a level 1, level 2, and level 3 adventure (the table you pick won't matter unless you want to be at the same table as a friend). You'll progress from level 1 to 3 in a somewhat sequential story, like a mini-campaign.

If you want to play with friends, make sure you get tickets to the same table and timeslot!

You don't need to bring anything — however, for the 2-hour adventures, you're welcome to bring your own D&D 5E character if you don't want to use a pre-generated character.

Please note that if you want to enter the Roll For It 2025 prize draw, you also need to get a ticket to Roll For It (these are free/pay what you can). This current Humanitix page is just for the D&D event that's happening inside Roll For It.

FAQs for Roll For It 2025

    Who is welcome?

Everyone. This is an all ages event for everyone.

Will there be food and drinks?

Nope, to keep things simple, we are not selling anything edible or drinkable. However, there are a billion vendors at which you can acquire sustenance just outside the hall, and you can eat and drink inside the hall. But maybe don't order tacos or a laksa, ya feel?

    Will there be water?

Water won't be supplied at the event, but you can fill up a water bottle at the fountain in Walyalup Koort or the one in Fremantle Library.

    What amenities are there?

The Town Hall has bathrooms with toilets, accessible toilets, and changing places. So does Fremantle Library.

Where does the money from ticket sales and donations go?

To cover our costs for the event! Right now, we're about $5k in the hole. If your donations (paired with anything we get from our sponsors) exceed that figure, the rest will go towards Tabletop Freo's next event.

How do I get to the Town Hall?

If you're taking the train, it's about 500m (a 7-ish-minute walk) from Fremantle Station.

How accessible is the Town Hall?

The entire event will run on the ground floor. There are bathrooms with accessible toilets and changing places. There is ACROD parking just outside the hall, too. Here's an accessibility map for Freo.

Photos will be taken at the event and used for TTF and the and City of Fremantle's marketing and media channels during and post event. Please make an event coordinator aware if you do not want your photo taken.
