Dominic Brennan Quintet
Event description
Dominic Brennan is a Brisbane-based Pianist and composer who graduated from JMI in 2023. Growing up in Charters Towers and Toowoomba, he discovered his love of music at an early age.
Since moving to Brisbane in 2021, Dominic has immersed himself in Brisbane’s jazz landscape, playing with a range of small ensembles and big bands (QYO big band and JMI jazz orchestra). His playing style is heavily inspired by Oscar Petersen, Red Garland and Chick Corea.
As a composer, his style is constantly evolving, but firmly rooted and influenced by Duke Ellington.
The Dominic Brennan Quintet invites you along to be in the room with them as they share with you an evening of original music written by members of the band.
Experience the journey that their music will take you on as it weaves through a range of styles.
