Don't Mess with Improv featuring Radical Joy & New News News Crew
Event description
Grab your best cheap bourbon whiskey and put on your best pearl-snap shirt and head to Stomping Ground for Texas-sized laughs at Don’t Mess with Improv. The February 8 show features Radical Joy and New News News Crew!
Radical Joy, Stomping Ground’s newest improv House Team, presents an unscripted experience like no other. Find humor in the unexpected and absurd as the group takes you to a fully improvised funeral. Performers portray mourners with varying relationships to the deceased and offer a brief eulogy to the audience; with each eulogy comes a glimpse into the deceased’s life that reveals absurdity, chaos, and most of all laughter. Performers include Chris Eisterhold, Anythony Lucchi, Lin Woodson, Elli Baker, Tyler Vornberg, Brandon Enriquez, Isabelle Qui, and Juan Zaragoza III. The team is coached by Joel Mendez-Zarate
The New News News Crew, here to bring the news to you! The News Crew will perform an entirely improvised newscast based on audience suggestions. Their expert team of reporters will cover the most important topics affecting their viewers, such as the ruffians kicking over sandcastles at the beach, the protest in front of the Chili’s on Main Street, and the latest on Cindy getting back together with her ex David. They are committed to providing the professionalism and journalistic integrity (and hopefully laughter) that every citizen wants. The New News News Crew features Ian Jungmann, Iannë Warshawsky, Jaydon Graeme, Joel Jenkins, Josh Reus, Melanie Robinson, Nan Kirkpatrick, and Stephanie Bell.
