In March 2020 CCL’s tour was cut short two days before departure. We’re honoured to be able to finally make up for this with CCL’s debut visit to Meanjin!

𝐶𝐶𝐿 is a DJ that is truly dedicated to the craft, building a kaleidoscopic storm of their own records, feelings, and sensibilities over the last decade as a selector, producer, radio host, and organiser. They’ve received basically every co-sign and accolade of note as a DJ, including featuring in RA’s Best Mixes of the Decade, mixes for Truants, Crack, FACT, Mixmag; and sets for Unsound, Movement Detroit, Rural Japan – all of these feel secondary to the immediate, tangible, embodied impact of their sets. CCL plays with a rare emotional intelligence threaded to a vortex of whirling polyrhythms, sucking listeners into a colourful sonic vortex, dissolving boundaries of tempo and genre, helping people lose themselves in one another.

We couldn’t have conjured two more appropriate locals to expand on this vision; Ola and Orb have both become established mainstays of forward-thinking Meanjin parties since arriving on the scene in late 2021. In two quick years, Ola and Orb have pushed the sonic landscape of the city into new and exciting directions. 

The party also welcomes the long awaited return of local favourite Pseud, who has quietly become one of Meanjin’s most interesting, yet mysterious, producers in recent years.
