Drawing for habitat gardening 🌿
Event description
Join these friendly, inclusive sessions to learn more about habitat gardening and develop a regular drawing practice that supports more intimate noticing of the changes in your garden, balcony or nature strip as biodiversity returns.Â
Perfect if you already care for a habitat garden or are interested in learning more about planting local plants to restore health to our urban environments.Â
No experience with drawing or gardening necessary – just bring your curiosity :)
Each week we’ll look at an aspect of habitat gardening and pair this with simple ideas for developing a creative observational drawing practice.
Week 1: What is a habitat garden? How to start a regular drawing practice
Week 2: Why is habitat gardening important? Local plants for local wildlife. Drawing as observation.
Week 3: How to garden for greater biodiversity? Habitat structures and plant choice. Making a garden journal for ongoing care.
