Event description

A 4-day Studio Class. Drawing from Observation is designed for students with some experience in drawing (but it is not required). In this intensive within 1 week, students will draw in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, draw from observed objects, and draw from the model. The class will be divided into 4 parts, each day observing a different subject matter.

Days: June 2 - June 5, 2025

Time: 10pm-3pm

Location: Lower Epperson Bldg., room EA B102 with select off-site locations.

Instructor: Lynn Richardson is a working artist and an Instructor in the Art Departments of Park University and Metropolitan CC, spanning the last 25 years of her working career. Lynn's first career was as an International Flight Attendant, taking her all over the world. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art from UMKC, Art Certification k-12 from Avila University, and a Masters from Baker University.

Supplies: The instructor will contact registered students directly regarding supplies needed. CAMPUS MAP

Parking: Parking is available in any of the (NON-RESERVED) KCAI parking lot spaces across campus. There is also available street parking surrounding KCAI campus. 

Refund: Registered participants can receive refunds to the original payment method (Studio Fee minus Humanitix Fee) up to 14 days before the first class.
