Maggidahs (Jewish Storytellers), Cassandra Sagan and Gail Pasternack along with improviser and stand-up comedian David Fuks present an evening of storytelling on the theme of What is Hidden. And afterwards YOU get to tell your stories! Sign up to deliver a personal story or even a traditional/folk tale on the theme (5 minute limit).

About the Artists:

Gail Pasternack is an ordained Maggidah who is passionate about living a creative life and telling stories. She has had stories published by Reclaiming Judaism Press, Jewish Fiction.net, and Wanderlust Journal and in the anthology The Fruit of Yitzhak’s Tree. Gail has served on the Board of Directors of Willamette Writers (the largest writers organization in the Pacific Northwest) since 2015 and as its president since 2019.

Cassandra Sagan has devoted her life to helping others access their creative brilliance through poetry, storytelling, song, visual art, and sacred play, and has trained Jewish educators in creating classrooms based in an ethic of play. She is an ordained Maggidah, a mystic, mosaic and visual artist, InterPlay leader, and creator of Moving Midrash, a playful approach to personal midrash, insight, and embodied Torah study.

In addition to his decades long work in the human services arena, David Fuks has worked as an actor, an improviser, and a stand up comedian. David has had a number of his short stories published and is currently focused on writing plays. Many years ago, David asked his father how he felt about his acting classes, his father responded, "Learn to act normal."
