Drop-in Qualitative Data Analysis Clinics

The idea of drop-in Qualitative Data Analysis Clinics is to workshop specific issues, and look together at data that attendees bring.

For this session we will have two featured researchers who have volunteered to share some of their data to work on:

• Liz Lush, a clinician working in chronic pelvic pain for 28 years, curious to explore how Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and doing may help physiotherapy to understand strengths-based approaches and promote flourishing for people with chronic pain.The research project being discussed is: Qualitative interviews with priority populations accessing physiotherapy. What do people, who have experienced extra prejudice or barriers to care, have to say about psychosocial screening questionnaires and physiotherapy promoting flourishing?

• Sally Coleman is a PhD researcher who is part of UTS Creativity and Cognition Studios (CCS). Her research is practice based, involving a series of real-time motion capture performances as sci-fi animated band Big Sand. 
  Sally's primary research question asks "How do audiences interpret the liveness of a virtual performance in a physical venue?". Using audience interviews and constructivist grounded theory (Charmaz), she is building out ideas around various ways we categorise, experience and value the 'live' in a digital era.

Come along to learn more about these projects, and also help provide insights to both Liz and Sally on ways they can appoach their data analysis!
