DRUM MACHINES 1 [16-STEP BASICS]

Learn the foundations of constructing rhythms on hardware drum machines, and using a 16-step sequencer. We will explore modes of programming beats such as step-sequencing and tap writing, and cover topics from quantization to swing. We will also discuss the significance and history of drum machines, and how they shaped the landscape across genres of dance and electronic music.

Aprende las bases para crear ritmos en cajas de ritmos físicas y usar un secuenciador de 16 pasos. Exploraremos diferentes formas de programar beats como el step-sequencing y el tap writing, y cubriremos temas como cuantización y swing. También hablaremos sobre la historia y el impacto de las cajas de ritmos, y cómo han influenciado distintos géneros de la música electrónica y de baile.
