This charming space, with its stunning original high-beamed ceilings, exposed brick walls, and a stylish Scandinavian minimalism accented by vibrant abstract art, offers a unique blend of rustic warmth and contemporary elegance. It's the perfect setting to unwind, rejuvenate your spirit, and deepen your connection to nature.
At our Earth & Craft: Winter Solstice Retreat, we believe in providing a truly all-inclusive experience. All your meals, drinks, and workshop materials are included, allowing you to relax and fully immerse yourself in the weekend's activities without a worry in the world. We've taken care of everything so you can focus on yourself and your experience.
Our retreat is conveniently located, with on-site parking available for those who prefer to drive. If you choose not to drive, Chester Train Station is just a 45-minute journey away, and we provide a shuttle collection service to ensure a smooth arrival.

As the sun sets on the first evening, you'll be welcomed into our cosy retreat atmosphere. Your adventure begins with a delightful goodie bag filled with treats to spark joy from local suppliers. Enjoy the warmth of welcome drinks with fellow participants before indulging in a sumptuous dinner thoughtfully prepared to showcase seasonal flavours that celebrate the harvest.
Saturday, December 20th:
Awake to the crisp, invigorating air of a winter morning. Start your day with an optional guided walk and forest bathing session led by an expert who will help you immerse yourself in the tranquil embrace of local woodlands. After revitalizing with a hearty breakfast, you'll delve into your first workshop—"Christmas Gifts from Nature"—where creativity knows no bounds as you craft unique, handcrafted gifts inspired by nature's bounty.
After enjoying a leisurely lunch, shift your focus to the enchanting world of botanical skincare. This delightful workshop will guide you through the use of natural ingredients to create nourishing products, including bath salts, luxurious lotions, aromatic oils, and invigorating body scrubs. In the evening, unwind during your free time, and later, gather around a cosy bonfire as the stars twinkle above, enjoying another delicious dinner—a perfect end to a day of creativity and connection.

As your final day dawns, embrace another opportunity to participate in a guided walk and forest bathing session to honour the magic of the Winter Solstice. After breakfast, dive into creativity with our Botanical Plant Pigment Making Workshop. Here, you will learn the art of creating vibrant paints and dyes sourced directly from nature. Following a fulfilling lunch, continue your artistic journey with advanced techniques for making botanical inks, culminating in the creation of your very own artwork—a beautiful reflection of your retreat experience.
