About your presenter:
Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a wife, mother and qualified Nutritionist and Health Coach who is passionate about helping people eat more whole plant foods so they can transform their health and live a life free of preventable disease.
I have worked in plant science for the last 20 odd years , previously employed as a viticulturist (grape grower) in the wine industry.
In 2017 at the age of 41, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, a type of inflammatory bowel disease. After 3 years spent trying various fad diets and medication, to no avail, I discovered an evidence based whole food plant-based diet.
As I added an abundance of whole plant foods and removed animal products and ultra-processed foods my health began to improve. My digestive symptoms disappeared, and I no longer required medication. I continue to live medication and symptom free and enjoying eating a colourful variety of fruits, vegetables, legumes, wholegrains, nuts and seeds every day.
It is now my mission in life to support others experiencing a mid-life health crisis to embrace a plant-powered lifestyle so they can feel energized, motivated and optimistic.
When I’m not supporting others to improve their health, I love catching up on the latest nutrition research, pottering around our vegetable garden, or creating and cooking delicious plant-based meals.
Health is in our hands, particularly the one that holds the fork!
