Eco-inking by the Birrarung

Slow down, connect with the Birrarung and discover the beauty of creating with nature.

Join experienced facilitator Annie for a relaxing outdoor workshop where you'll explore the colours, textures and patterns of the natural world through a series of simple, hands-on creative activities inspired by the Birrarung.

Experiment with eco-inking, leaf rubbings, earth painting and other nature-based art techniques while learning to observe the landscape with fresh eyes. Along the way, you'll deepen your appreciation for the plants, water and wildlife that make this remarkable place so special.

No artistic experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore. Whether you're looking to reconnect with nature, try something new or simply enjoy a peaceful creative experience by the river, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to nurture both your creativity and your connection to place.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.
