Ecoburbia Tour

Experience the epitome of sustainable suburban living with the Ecoburbia Tour! Nestled within the heart of Beaconsfield, this tour explores an urban community that aims to create more sustainable, connected and resilient communities.

Ecoburbia is:

• Part of an urban infill development, where one house has been converted into four self-contained living units, tripling the population density without adding to the house’s footprint.

• Part of the urban farm with chickens, goats, different compost systems (even a toilet!), fruit trees, and a shared veggie patch.

• A demonstration sustainable house with cutting-edge energy systems, water collection, four water systems and dispersal systems and an innovative passive solar design for heating and cooling.

• Part of an educational and community hub, with regular tours, workshops, films and events.

This workshop is free for residents in the Cities of Bayswater, Swan, the Town of Bassendean and the Shire of Mundaring and includes morning tea.

Please arrive from 9.15 am for a 9:30 am start and bring a reusable mug, plate and water bottle.
