Hands On Ecology series: Regenerative Practices for Weed Control - 16 Oct 2026

Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration!

Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking—please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks.

This session covers:

• Identification of environmental weeds

• Methodologies for control

• Windrow weeds and weed methodology identification

• Biosecurity - prevention in public spaces and reserves

Registration is essential as participant numbers are limited for health and safety reasons.
