Ecoprint a Silk Scarf Workshop

Event description

Spend a relaxing, unrushed morning with textile artist, Annette Wiguna, who will take you on a wonderful journey into botanical printing (ecoprinting). You will be provided with a pre-mordanted silk scarf to create your unique textile art piece with locally foraged plants. In addition, you will also be provided with a few fabric samples to practise your design composition on, leaf placement, use of blankets/barriers, and rolling/bundling technique to achieve great definition and clarity of prints.

Please bring/wear:

  • Enclosed nonslip foot wear
  • Waterproof gloves
  • 2 old bath towels
  • your own water/lunch (optional) - There is a Japanese cafe onsite specialising in homestyle meals, coffee/tea/other beverages, and sweets.

Free street parking available. Entry is via the ramp on the left hand side of the building that leads to an ornate iron door. Please proceed down the hallway into the main hall.

This workshop is suitable for beginners from age 15+. Please note that as we will be working in my studio, the space is not suitable for young children to attend.

I am unable to provide a refund in case of cancellation but you are welcome to transfer your place to someone else.
