Edible Gardens Festival 2026

Welcome to the Edible Gardens Festival – the Margaret River region’s annual sustainability and food growing festival, returning for the May 22-24 weekend in 2026! This not-for-profit event is aimed at connecting community and empowering you with knowledge and inspiration to get your hands dirty, grow your own food, live lighter on the planet, and have fun in the process.

OPEN GARDENS:

You can either grab a Saturday or a Sunday day ticket for $20 (or one of each)! Each day features a different line-up of varied and inspirational edible gardens for you to tour between 9am and 1pm. Meet the gardeners and hear all about their gardening journey, tips and techniques. Don't miss the Gardener Talk and Gardening Demonstrations at each garden, as well as community and education stalls, local food and drinks, and gardening products for purchase.

These are all real-life, practical, authentic gardens and gardeners taking care of their soil and producing abundance. Please note, kids tickets are limited).

WORKSHOPS:

For even deeper learning, we’ve added 19 all-new workshops to the festival program (7 on Friday afternoon, another 6 on Saturday afternoon and a different 6 on Sunday afternoon). These are each ticketed separately at $25 per person. They run for 90 minutes with limited class sizes and expert local teachers. Find out more about them in the 2026 Edible Gardens Festival Program.

FESTIVAL BUS:

Leave the car at home, take the green option and jump on our coaster bus from Margaret River. You'll then be chauffeured to that day's 3 open gardens (in time in hear the Gardener Talk and see the Garden Demonstrations at each garden). Just $10 for a day bus ticket, departing from and returning to the Fearn Ave bus stop, Margaret River.

LONG TABLE LUNCH:

For the first time in 2026, the Edible Gardens Festival presents a seasonal three-course long table lunch celebrating the best of the Margaret River region, with fresh autumn produce and sustainably farmed local proteins sourced direct from boutique growers. Prepared and served by culinary students from South West Regional TAFE under expert guidance, this special Saturday lunch also features local wines and the chance to hear from the chefs, growers and producers behind your meal.

SPECIAL OFFERS:

Our friends at Margaret River Mitre 10 are offering all ticket holders 20 per cent of all plants for the week after the Edible Gardens Festival (May 25-31 inclusive). Simply show your festival ticket at the counter when purchasing your potted plants, fruit trees or veg seedlings!
