Ekphrastic Poetry – poetry workshop with Jade McCutcheon

This one-hour workshop will introduce participants to Ekphrastic poetry.

Ekphrastic poetry explores a pre-existing work of art, expressing a visual medium in verbal form and expanding on the themes of the piece of art at hand.

Workshop participants will write and discuss poetry response to an image. You can either bring your own image representing this year's festival theme, Light in the Dark, or chose from various images available at the workshop.

Please bring pen and notebook or paper.
