Elections Info - Drop in

The election is coming up. Are you ready to vote?

Electoral Commission staff will be in the library to answer your questions and help check if you are enrolled to vote.

They are delivering a 45 minute presentation at 12.30 and again at 5.30 covering all the basics about NZ elections - but if you can't make either session or just have a quick question, then drop in any time during the afternoon.

Ideal if you:

• are interested in getting a job working at the general election

• are new to New Zealand and not sure if you are eligible to vote

• have moved and need to update your details

• haven't voted before but want to do so this year

• aren't sure if you are enrolled or not

Pop in to the Ashburton Lakes Room near the Event Space in the Library to have a chat with the friendly team from the Electoral Commission.

Please note the team are happy to answer questions about the elections and voting, but they will be unable to answer any questions about political parties, candidates, policies or who to vote for, as the information they provide will be politically neutral.

Anyone is welcome to drop in - no need to book. Take this opportunity to get election-ready and find out about jobs at election time.
