Event description

Electrify 6158: Plugged In – Open Homes

Join the East Fremantle Climate Action Reference Group (CARG) for an insightful exploration into the benefits of transitioning to an all-electric home. With more homeowners making the shift toward sustainable living, electrification is not just environmentally friendly—it's economically smart too.

What to Expect:

  • Connect with Neighbours: Meet local homeowners who have already made the transition to electrified homes.
  • Home Tours: Get a firsthand look at their homes and learn how you can begin or accelerate your own journey.
  • Learn About Key Technologies: Explore rooftop solar systems, home batteries, electric space heating, heat pumps, induction cooktops, electric vehicles (EVs), e-bikes, verge gardens, and more.
  • Practical Advice: Discover technology in action and hear tips from residents who have successfully made the switch. Learn how to electrify your home in stages that fit your budget and lifestyle.

Event Schedule:

10:00 AM- 11:00 AM Event Kick-off at East Fremantle Community Park

  • Meet at East Fremantle Community Park (44 Hamilton Street, East Fremantle) to collect your information packs and begin the event.

From 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Visit Electrified Homes

  • After collecting your event pack, you're invited to two electrified homes throughout East Fremantle.
  • Note: These homes will be open for drop-in visits starting from 10:00 AM. Each self-guided tour takes about 15-20 minutes.

This session is open to residents, families, friends, and local businesses in East Fremantle. Proudly supported by the Town of East Fremantle, East Fremantle Climate Action Reference Group, and the Electrify 6158 campaign, this event aligns with the Town of East Fremantle's Climate Emergency Action Plan – Strategic Objective 1: Energy.

Please Note: Neither CARG nor the Town of East Fremantle endorse specific businesses at this event. The purpose is to showcase examples of available electrification technology, leaving any follow-up decisions to attendees.
