Embodied Liberation: Asking for Help
Description
This will be a fun, flowing, liberatory, resilience-building workshop, holding us as individuals and as a community around something most of us struggle with: Asking for help.
We will use song, movement, and playful relational connection to creatively explore individual and collective barriers to asking for help. After warming up, we will dream up and embody resources that help us overcome these barriers, so that we can find more freedom and ease in these challenging times.
This is not therapy! However, it is trauma informed, and consent-centered: everything offered is invitational. Our practice will be supported by powerful forms of collective care and liberation drawing from action methods like Interplay, Psychodrama, and Somatics.
The circle will open at 5:30 PM and end by 9:30 PM. Please come on time, so as not to disrupt the flow.
Important note: Testing prior to attendance and masks required. We will have some masks at the door for those without. HEPA air filtration. If you would like to PlusLife test before the event, come at 5 pm.
