Embroidered Photograph Workshop at the UnCorked Wine Bar
Event description
Make your special photos even more spectacular with embroidery in this two hour long workshop! We’ll learn the ins and outs of embroidering on surfaces like paper and photographs, basic stitches, and embroidery composition.
Beginners to advanced stitchers welcome!

- Embroidery needles
- Scissors
- Embroidery floss
- Interfacing
- Threaders
- Tracing paper
- Pencils
- Awls
- Beeswax
PLEASE BRING
Photographs to stitch on that...
- Are on some sort of paper that can be punctured (no slides or Polaroids)
- Are not one of a kind originals (we’d hate for you to damage a family heirloom, especially if this is your first embroidery experience!)

About the Instructor:
Rachael Mayer is a visual artist focusing on fiber and textiles based out of Boise, Idaho. With an extensive background in arts education and community programming, Rachael creates intentional, interactive art experiences through independent contracting, workshops, and public art. Her obsession with color and texture has led her to create a diverse collection of work that focuses on body positivity and mental wellness.
