RA's Future Leaders Program supports and assists our industry's next generation of leaders by providing them with unique networking and learning opportunities as they build their careers. 

FUTURE LEADERS' FORUM - please note; if purchasing 10 tickets to the Future Leaders' Forum, you will not be seated at the same table as your colleagues. The purpose of this event is to have collaborative discussion with people outside of your workspace. 
Time: 2:00–5:00pm (Conference Hall 1 | Crown)

We will commence the day with the Future Leaders' Forum. This is open to all future leaders of the industry. The forum is a unique opportunity for the next generation of leaders to come together and take part in an interactive workshop which will help to shape RA's policy goals and priorities. The workshop's outcomes will be used by the RA Board to ensure the next generation's perspectives will play a key part in our policy strategy.

The day will begin with a keynote address by Kate Dundas from Sustainability Victoria, followed by a workshop facilitated by Roads Australia's, Director of Policy, Royce Christie. 

Keynote speaker - Kate Dundas, Chief Operating Officer, Sustainability Victoria

Kate is a strategist and designer working in data, futures and the circular economy. She is currently working as Chief Operating Officer at Sustainability Victoria and is involved in waste data reform, government futures and mapping and measuring the circular economy. She has previously worked in city strategy and urban design and once upon a time designing gardens.


RA's policy goals
- Optimise the use of our roads for environmental, social, economic and cultural outcomes.
- Decarbonisation of the economy through integrated transport and the efficient use of resources and energy.
- Improve the stewardship of our roads for the workers on them and the people who use them.

EMERGING LEADERS' GALA DINNER
Time: 6:00pm for 6:30 until 9:30pm (River Room | Crown)

Our sixth annual Emerging Leaders Gala Dinner provides the opportunity to network with your industry peers and celebrate with the future leaders of our industry.

You'll also have to chance to hear from our outgoing PPP Award winner John Hallam – who will share perspectives from his 12 month industry ambassador experience  and meet the latest recipient as we formally present the 2023 PPP Award.

Keynote speaker - Adele McCarthyActing Chief Executive Officer, Yarra Trams 

Adele McCarthy is the Acting CEO of Melbourne’s iconic Yarra Trams, proudly operated by Keolis Downer, Australia’s largest private provider of multi-modal public transport Joining Yarra Trams in 2020 as Chief Development Officer, Adele has led advice on future plans, projects and innovations, and overseen delivery of a portfolio of infrastructure projects. Adele was appointed Acting CEO of Yarra Trams in December 2022. Leading operation of the world’s largest tram network, Adele is passionate about improving the passenger experience, driving operations and asset management best practice, and engagement of Yarra Trams’ 2,700 employees.

Cancellations should be notified in writing by email. Cancellations received prior to one week before the event will receive a full refund less 25%. No refund will be applicable for cancellations received after one week prior to the event although substitute delegates are welcomed.
