About this event
What the workshops will cover:
- What is health and well-being in early childhood and family development
We explore frameworks used in childhood development and how these can remind us to look at – and focus on – what our children can do. We review tools to help you think about what is important to you and your children. - Child, sibling and family development
We explore your child’s relationships with siblings, extended family, and community members. Empowering you to embrace the process of your child being who they are, becoming who they are meant to be and feeling a sense of belonging within your family and community.  - Parenting is a dance led by the children
We explore how you are central to your child's development. And how nurturing your relationships with your child is just as important as how much therapy your child receives. We discuss how understanding what is important to us as parents helps us care for our children and make decisions aligned with our family's values. - Looking after myself so I can look after my family
We look at the importance of your well-being as a parent or caregiver. And how taking small but meaningful steps to enhance your health, well-being, and resilience will benefit not only you but your entire family. - Communicating, Collaborating and Connecting
We explore communication styles, the importance of collaboration with healthcare professionals and strategies to support these relationships. And discuss how to build social and community connections and strengthen your family network.
