Sports people, parents, club volunteers and allies are invited to join us at this free film screening of Equal the Content.

Equal the Contest explores the barriers that still exist for women and gender diverse people to participate in sport in Australia today. The film will be followed by Q and A with sports people committed to championing women, girls and gender diverse athletes.

The Q and A panel will feature:

• Tilly Lucas-Rodd (Hawthorn AFLW captain)

• Jacara Egan (Change our Game Ambassador)

• Rita Nehme (Change our Game Ambassador)

• Dr. Jessica Crofts (Sport and Rec. Victoria)

Synopsis: When a 42 year old, non-binary filmmaker joins a new local women’s footy club in Regional Victoria a simple desire to play becomes a complex journey of inclusion and belonging. An unexpected turn means the team has to fight to play. Their campaign challenges age old sporting traditions and joins the wider movement for gender equity.
