Eucalypts of the Birrarung Walk and Talk - Part 2

This is the second in our series of four walks exploring the varied eucalypt habitats of the Birrarung — from the grassy dry forests of Warrandyte to the floodplain woodlands of Spadonis Reserve, and finally into the altitudinal gradient of the Yarra Ranges National Park in Warburton.

Vicky is an artist and researcher dedicated to deepening our understanding and care for the natural world, who co-authored Loving Country: A Guide to Sacred Australia with Bruce Pascoe in consultation with diverse Indigenous communities. Together with Professor Rod Fensham, she has now completed the ACE Guide to Eucalypts Melbourne - a beautifully photographed, locally focused field guide to the 33 Indigenous eucalypt species of the region, designed to make identification accessible and deepen connection to place.
