EVERYDAY HEROES: Melbourne is your canvas, you're the artist!
Event description
Ready to be an artist? Join fellow international students for a free art workshop where you'll be creating a photo collage.
Guided by the creative duo (and former international students!) behind Barcode People, this workshop - Collage Melbourne - is all about connecting culturally with Melbourne through creative collaging.
There will be prizes for the most impressive works, snacks, and new people to meet.
When: Wednesday, 28 August 2024 | 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Study Melbourne Hub, 17 Hardware Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000
To start, you'll need to choose a theme! Through your artwork, you can pick to be...
1. A food stall/truck owner
Melbourne is known for its vibrant food market scene. You're invited to create your version of a food stall or truck with a touch of your hometown cuisine.
2. A fashion icon
Imagine some iconic Melbourne buildings as your “playground.” Dress and personify them by infusing your aesthetic, vision, concept, and emotion through collage.
3. An architect
Create and collage your bridge using elements that symbolise yourself—
representing your interpretation of connecting Melbourne.
4. Or, use your imagination...
Freely collage with the materials provided on a theme related to your relationship with Melbourne.
