EVolocity Pre-Scrutineering Day - Auckland South 2025

Please note, this is one of two Auckland Pre-Scrutineering events. Please register for the one that best suits you in terms of location.

VEHICLE PRE-SCRUTINEERING

Students bring their vehicles and scrutineers assess them as fit-for-purpose for race day. It's important that all teams participate in pre-scrutineering to ensure you are on track for your vehicle to meet the technical specifications and safety requirements necessary for race day.

Many vehicles will not be complete and that is okay – students will be given feedback with time to make modifications or corrections before the regional final.

Take this opportunity to also check out the other teams vehicles, everyone has been working hard all year and it's worth showing off!

We strongly encourage all teams to attend pre-scrutineering, this is the second most important event of the year and all about making sure your vehicle is safe and that you get to race your vehicle at regional finals!

BRING ALONG WITH YOU

• Your Vehicle - or start of it, whatever stage you are at

• The protective gear you’re expecting to wear (overalls, helmet, gloves etc)

• Any components and materials

• Snacks and a water bottle

Teams will be scrutineered on a first-come-first-serve basis, however everyone should aim to arrive between 10am - 11am. If you have somewhere to be and would like your vehicle to be prioritised, please let Sam know in advance or one of our team on the day.

Once your vehicle has been scrutineered, you are welcome to head off.

Venue

Bucklands Beach Intermediate, 247 Bucklands Beach Road.

Please enter the carpark via Bucklands Beach Road as pictured in the below map, you may drive through and drop off your electric vehicle and then park on the on-road parking along Bucklands Beach Road. If needed, we will gather under the Sports Cloud for shelter.

If you are unable to find a carpark, there will also be additional parking available as marked on the map.
