Our Presenters:

RUTH OAKDEN (Speaker)

Master MHFA Instructor

Ruth Oakden has a quarter of a century providing wellbeing, employee support and training for individuals, workplaces, communities and organisations within Australia and overseas. Her engagement with people traverses the day-to-day challenges as well as the big life issues.

With 1 in 5 adults experiencing mental health problems, even more in younger age groups and some industries, workplaces have both the opportunity and responsibility to not only support their employees but equip them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, or co-worker, experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. Mentally healthy, supportive and psycho-socially safe environments are key to driving organisational well-being, productivity and, ultimately, success. But it’s not always easy to see how your organisation can achieve this.

Through Your Mental Health at Work, Ruth offers a range of opportunities to reflect on what can help you, help your people. We can work together to build tailored training for your workplace, or team’s needs.
