𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 '𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙅𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩'
𝖧𝖾𝗇𝗋𝗒 𝖧𝗎

𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 '𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘑𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵' is an exhibition of new work by Henry Hu. Featuring animation, paintings, and photographs—together the selection spotlights the artist’s continued interest in abstraction, as a force that might signify life without directly defining it. Engaged with notions of mysticism, central to his practice is an enquiry into the spiritual end.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙
𝖲𝗎𝗌𝖺𝗇 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾

Susan Bruce’s moving image work considers whether the natural world (including trees, fungi, and aquatic life) communicates with humans and how humans communicate with the natural world. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 questions how weather is experienced by our bodies and how humans are changing everything through human activity.

Saskia, Nicola, Jonathon and Cathy met in the ANU’s Gold & Silversmithing workshop in 2018. After leaving the workshop behind—and missing the camaraderie, inspiration and influence that is a feature of a shared space—they decided to challenge each other to extend their practices. The result is 𝘋𝘐𝘈𝘓𝘖𝘎𝘜𝘌.

Mustering the madness
𝖢𝗅𝖺𝗎𝖽𝖾 𝖩𝗈𝗇𝖾𝗌

Mustering the madness is a response to the ongoing insanity of the relaxed gun laws in the USA. The installation reflects on Australia’s effective weapons round-up, whilst questioning why America cannot do the same.

Exhibitions run from
13 April to 7 may
