Animation: The Art of Character Design: An Immersive Animation Workshop Experience | Discover the artistry and magic of character design in animation! Join us for an immersive workshop that will take you on a captivating journey into the world of creating memorable animated characters. Led by the Animation Society, this hands-on experience will equip you with an understanding of the animation course at UTS, bringing you on an exciting journey full of creativity. |
Architecture: Bring out the Architect in you! | Join us and learn about the beautiful world of Architecture. Through a hands-on workshop, you will learn about amazing architectural projects; why architects play such a vital role in society and the different ways that Architects create genuine positive change in the world. You will be challenged to bring out the architect in you, and bring your ideas from your mind, to paper and then to reality. Whether you’re into art, design, or just love building things, this session will open your eyes to the world of architecture in a fun and interactive way. |
Biomedical Engineering: Engineering the Body | Discover how engineering and healthcare come together in this engaging Biomedical Engineering workshop. Explore how engineers collaborate with doctors and researchers to develop life-changing technologies such as prosthetics, robotic surgery systems, medical imaging and implanted devices that enhance and support human life. |

Campus Tour | The UTS campus is one of a kind, located right in the heart of Sydney's leading digital and creative precinct. Our experienced Student Ambassadors will lead you through the Broadway precinct, including a stop at the iconic Dr Chau Chak Building and the new UTS Central building. Please wear comfortable shoes. |
Chemistry: Identifying Unknown Substances | Become a forensic chemist and identify a suspicious white substance. Students will use physical, chemical and infrared spectroscopic tests to analyse their unknown sample and discover how chemistry is used to rapidly identify unknown materials. |
Civil & Environmental Engineering: Floating Houses | Step into the shoes of a humanitarian engineer and use your problem-solving skills to make a real impact! In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore how engineering can improve lives in marginalised communities by tackling global hygiene challenges. You'll define a real-world problem, brainstorm innovative solutions, and apply your mechanical know-how to develop a prototype. |
Creative Intelligence and Innovation: Creative Leaps | This interactive workshop gives you a taste of what a Transdisciplinary Innovation course at UTS TD School is all about. Digital and Social Media: Beyond the Social Media Ban | Join us for our Digital Social Media workshop and explore the essential role of data in today’s digital world. Learn how data shapes everything from social media to shopping habits. Gain crucial insights into privacy, consent, and become a savvy data expert, ready to navigate confidently through our data-driven society. |
Economics: Build a nation | In this interactive workshop, students design and manage their own country, making decisions about resources, economic systems, and national priorities while responding to real-world challenges. Along the way, they apply key economic concepts like scarcity and opportunity cost to build a nation that reflects their chosen definition of success. |
Environmental Science: Under the Heat | Become an environmental scientist and investigate the hidden heat around you. Students will use infrared thermometers to measure surface temperatures in natural and built spaces, compare their data, and explore how urban design shapes microclimates and environmental impact. |
Food Science: The Science Behind Your Food | Become a food scientist and put everyday foods to the test. Students will analyse taste perception, compare sugar levels using refractometers, and assess egg freshness, discovering how science ensures food quality, safety and consistency. |
Forensic Science: Who did it? | Be a forensic investigator and use scientific applications to solve crimes. Students will learn how to dust and collect fingerprints, analyse blood spatter, test for drugs and collect evidence, with the aim of building a solid case for the court of law. |
Interaction Design; Information Technology: UX Sketch & Flow | This workshop introduces students to interaction design as a core discipline within Information Technology, where user actions are translated into system behaviour. Participants will design and prototype their own app wireframes while learning how digital products are structured before development begins. |
Interior Architecture: Tape It. Tear It. Transform It. A Hands-On Interior Architecture Workshop | Interior Architecture explores the dynamic relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. As future designers, you're likely already immersed in a flood of interior imagery—scrolling, saving, and studying spaces from all over the world. Through a tactile and exploratory process—tracing, trimming, taping, tearing—you’ll engage with images, materials, and textures as tools for generating spatial ideas. |

Sport and Exercise Science: 10 Minutes in the Life of a Sports Scientist | Step into the world of Sport and Exercise Science with a fast‑paced, hands‑on workshop! Students rotate through three stations to assess injuries, measure real body data, test performance, and explore how the brain and body work together, giving you a fun and practical taste of how sports scientists help people move better and perform at their best. |
