OVERVIEW

Time: 10am to 1pm each Monday

Cost: $200 - Only for Newcastle Printmakers Workshop members.

This course will only accept 3 participants. In order to participate you must be a member of Newcastle Printmakers Workshop.

Are you looking to extend your printmaking skills and bring your print to life? Valé Vincent is running a series of dedicated workshops to mentor a small group of 3 Printmakers where you bring in your project and receive guided and expert advice. These sessions are for intermediate printmakers only.

Prior to starting Valé will contact you via email to discuss your ideas and to plan for your sessions.

What you need to bring/supply:

Ideas and vision/goals

All printmaking equipment including printmaking plate/s, inks, paper etc.

Disposable gloves for printing sessions

Old paint shirt or apron and closed-in shoes for safety.

Refreshments and snacks

The workshop has a fridge, kettle and microwave.

Covid Safety:

Participants must checkin, wash or sanitise their hands immediately upon entering the workshop and maintain physical distancing whenever possible during class. If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been directed to isolate, you must not attend class.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Valé Vincent works in the areas of collagraphy, lino printing, etched lino, multi layer hybrid printing, with her main passion in collagraphy. Valé holds a Bachelor of Arts Visual Arts and has over 15 years teaching experience in printmaking. Contact: valerie.vincent@bigpond.com

The NPW Newcastle Printmakers Workshop is Australias longest running open access workshops, established in 1979, and provides local practicing artists, students and beginners with access to equipment and work space. There are approximately 80 members and we run a variety of workshops and exhibitions each year.

Ticket Policy: Most classes require a minimum number of participants to go ahead. This depends on a number of factors and the minimum is stated on the individual workshop booking page. In the event of the workshop being cancelled, your booking will be refunded in full. In the case of you not being able to attend a workshop you will be refunded as follows:

Cancellations less than 24 hours before and no-shows on the day will not be refunded and a credit or transfer will not be issued.
Cancellations within 1 week will receive a 35% refund.
Cancellations between 1 and 2 weeks of the workshop will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations more than two weeks before the workshop receive a full refund less any third party booking fee.

If Newcastle Printmakers, or the student, has to cancel due to Covid lock downs enforced after booking, a refund will be issued. This may be for a whole course, if there is more than one class in the course, dependant upon whether the course has started. For example if we go into lock down part way through a 5 week workshop a pro rata refund will be issued. Alternatively the student may chose to retain a credit for a future course with Newcastle Printmakers.
