Tanya, a proud resident of Wanaka, is the driving force behind HempCentral. Her processing facility located at Queensberry, with future plans for an education centre, signifies her commitment to advancing the hemp industry locally. HempCentral operates across the entire value chain of the industrial hemp industry, from field to end product. With the introduction of the Ashford Hemp Processor in June 2023, the first of its kind in New Zealand, HempCentral offers eco-friendly and sustainable production solutions to growers in the Central Otago region. Tanya will share insights into the production of hemp hurd for hempcrete buildings and the development of high-purity end products using all parts of the hemp stalk.
