This is a dedicated First Nations Workshop, which is facilitated by First Nations women and specifically designed to address additional considerations encountered by this community when discussing politics and potentially running for public office.

Find your Political Voice

Are you passionate about making change in your community? Ready to amplify your voice and drive meaningful impact? Join us for an inspiring two-day workshop designed specifically for First Nations women who want to deepen their understanding of politics and policymaking.

What You'll Gain:
  • Deep understanding of political systems and how they work
  • Confidence to engage in political discussions
  • Skills to advocate for your community
  • Tools to run for public office or support another woman's campaign
  • Strategies for creating meaningful change
  • Network with like-minded community leaders

This free, in-person workshop includes catering. All you need to bring is your curiosity and a ‘get elected’ attitude. Once you’ve attended this training event, you’ll have access to ongoing resources and support via our digital education platform, “Campaign in Your Pocket”.

This event is presented in partnership by Women for Election, Speak Write Consulting, and The Turnstone Collective. Together, we are committed to empowering women, particularly First Nations women, to pursue leadership roles and make meaningful political change.

A quick note on our Terminology: WFE has an inclusive definition of ‘women’. We aim to engage with, and give voice to, the diverse experience of those who may identify as women – including trans, cis and non-binary.

In registering for this event you are accepting and promising to abide by the Women for Election Code of Conduct for events, including observing WFE’s values of collaboration and inclusion.
