Fabric to Yarn Workshop-SAFETY BAY

Come and join the Repurposing revelution! Connect with like minded people and have fun while turning your pre-loved pillowcase, quilt cover or sheets into a great big ball of yarn!
You will learn:-
- Cutting & ripping fabric-which one is best
- 4 different ways to join ends or change colours
- The right fabric to choose for the right project and lots more
It doesn't stop there, discover all the uses of this fabulous craft, from dog toys to rugs & baskets and everything else in between. You'll be taking home your fabulous ball of yarn and informative instruction booklet so you can inspire others and start creating at home.
Bring your own pillowcase, quilt cover & sheets (flat only) to get started.
Provided are:-
- Scissors, pins, markers
- Spare pillowcases, quilt cover, sheets just in case you forget yours!
- Light snacks, tea, coffee etc
NOTE
- As this workshop focuses on recylcing, repurposing and repairing, please bring a quilt/pillow case from home or purchased from your local charity shop and not bought new
- Ideally your quilt cover should be 100% cotton, printed or plain with NO embelishments and NO frills, piping or large boarders
