    Join us to kick off Fairtrade Fortnight! Come and be inspired by a panel of business owners passionate about working with Fair Trade producers to alleviate poverty.  

    Meet the changemakers who are working directly with producers from around the world including Africa, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Peru. 

     You will see a showcase of beautiful artisan-made fair trade products. Learn how Fair Trade is all about being 'Fair for All', helping artisans and producers to build their own businesses, create a steady and sustainable income, and support their communities.  

    Come and be part of the Fair Trade movement, meet the people with a passion, and enjoy a continental breakfast.

    Before building her enterprises, All of the Good Things and AfriBeads,  Nimmity worked for 25+ years in senior management in the software industry.  Working across a broad international landscape, this included working in Africa, Middle East, Europe (including Russia and Central Europe), Scandinavia, Asia and the Americas. Her experiences working across the world highlighted the extreme contrast in her living and travelling circumstances, and those she saw in her travels. Nimmity is passionate about using her business experience for good. Her travels and work experience sparked a passion in the Fair Trade movement. Nimmity currently volunteers as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand. Nimmity enjoys hiking, exploring new cities, art and camping.

    Abdullah Ramay

    Abdullah Ramay is the CEO of Pablo & Rusty’s (P&R) Coffee Roasters, a B Corp and certified carbon-neutral organisation and member of 1% for the Planet. He is a purpose-driven leader committed to making P&R the best coffee company in and for the world. Abdullah holds qualifications including CPA, PMP, MBA, and GAICD. He thrives on leading high-performing teams, solving challenges at the intersection of strategy, impact and technology. Sought after for advice by startups, businesses and social enterprises, Abdullah frequently writes and speaks on technology, purpose, strategy, and leadership.

    Yvonne Scott:

    Founder: Aware the Social Design Project

    Yvie is a passionate Fair Trade advocate and entrepreneur with a background in environmental services as a CRM manager, it was here she recognized the need to change consumption practices. This experience ignited her commitment to sustainable, circular production and the preservation of cultural heritage through artisan-made products. Yvie founded her Fair Trade business 12 yrs ago, in that time she has  created a brand focused on ethical practices. She promotes a "buy less, buy better" lifestyle, mentors others in the Fair Trade and social enterprise community, and offers mending and upcycling classes to spread awareness and skills to drive change in consumer behavior. This year she won the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Award in the Sustainability Category. 

    Aditi Sharma : 

    Director: Aksa Home Decor

    Aditi Sharma is a IT professional and entrepreneur with 20+ years of corporate experience. Her love for Indian art forms, and willingness to give back to artisan communities was channeled into her Fair Trade business, Aksa Home Decor in 2020. “Aksa“ word implies “Soul” and the name resonates with Aditi’s philosophy of living life full of love, kindness and close-knit connections with your tribe (the “soul” of life).
