Family Canoe Adventure

Grab a paddle, hop in our big red canoes and let's explore the wetlands by water! On this 1-hour guided tour with activities you'll learn how our creeks and rivers bring our wetlands to life. Make sure you keep a sharp eye out for the birds, fish and eels that call Boatman's Creek home.

This fun, guided paddle is perfect for beginners and little explorers. Suitable for 4years old and older paddling with an adult.

When: 9.30am 8th and 9th November 2025

How Much: $30 per canoe (does not include Entry Fee) Our big red canoes comfortably hold 2 adults + 1 child or 1 adult + 2 children. Contact us at canoes@wetlands.org.au if you need more info about capacity.

IMPORTANT INFO

Start Time: Kindly arrive 15mins before start time.

Ages: Children must be 4 years or older. All children 4yo-12yo must be in a canoe with an adult guardian. Children 12yo-16yo do not need to be in a canoe with an adult, but must have an adult guardian present on the tour.

What to wear: All participants must wear a lifejacket and enclosed shoes. We also recommend you bring drinking water and stay sun safe with a hat, sunscreen and longsleeve shirt/pants.

Weather: If heavy rain or high winds prevents this activity going ahead, we will endeavour to advise as far in advance as possible and discuss refund/or alternative date.
