Event description
Are you looking for something to do with your child that is fun and relaxing both at the same time?
Join Antje from Flow and Grow Family Yoga at Yogita Yoga studio in Highgate for an afternoon of joyful connection with your little one!
Antje's family yoga sessions are neither adult yoga with kids, nor kids' yoga with adults. Instead, classes are designed specifically to deepen the connection between you and your child.
We will be weaving together elements of play and storytelling, asana (yoga postures) and mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, a dash of acro yoga, and each participant's own creative spirit.
Along the way, we'll release stress and anxiety, connect with our (inner) child, and strengthen body and mind.
No previous yoga experience is required!
Two session times on offer:
- Session 1 at 2pm for parents and children aged 3-5 years
- Session 2 at 3.15pm for parents and children aged 6-12 years
TESTIMONIALS
"My 4.5 year old and I had a ball at Antje’s family yoga class. It was fun, creative, energising, and calming all at the same time. Most of all it was a wonderful opportunity for one-on-one connection, especially important now that my child has a younger sibling. Thank you for the beautiful class, we’re both looking forward to coming back soon!" (Lara, mother of two)
"My 8 year old daughter and I have absolutely loved each and
every aspect of Antje’s parents and kids yoga sessions. Each class we’ve
attended has had a different theme which has captured my daughter’s
imagination and sense of fun but what I have loved most is the chance to
share yoga with my child, connect without outside pressures and look
into each other’s eyes as we play, move, dance and rest! Antje is a
warm, grounded, calm and professional yogi with a true gift for teaching
and holding space for families." (Emmy, mother of two)
"I've done a few different family yoga classes and Antje's recent class in Aldinga, SA, has been my favourite by far. She has such a lovely presence, and I love her emphasis on connection. I actually became a bit emotional in the final cuddle part of the session - it really emphasised for me how much we don't make time to just BE with our kids enough, especially 1:1. My 5yo LOVED it, and we both look forward to more classes!" (Nicole, mother of three)
"Amazing parent/child workshop today. My son is so excited to return. Thank you Antje." (Torri, mother of one)
"We did the 5 week family yoga workshop and it was such a treat! We both really enjoyed spending time together and the classes were perfectly tailored for children. It was so much more fun and imaginative than I ever expected. Would highly recommend and would definitely do another one!" (Kellie Anne, mother of two)
