Green Connect is a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides employment to young people and former refugees in jobs that make the community and planet better. Your participation in our activities directly helps us to continue the vital work we do. Thank you for your support!

PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING THE FARM

The Green Connect farm is a working farm and you enter the site at your own risk.

There are risks associated with visiting the Green Connect farm that all visitors must be aware of. These risks include uneven terrain, slip/trip hazards, access to farm equipment and others. On the farm we value the benefits of nature and risky-play for the development of children. Visitors enter the site at their own risk and accept the risk for minors in their care. Shoes must be worn in the main part of the farm, however if children do remove shoes in the Childrens Garden area only, that is at their own risk. Note that whilst we take due care and check the space, this site previously had a lot of glass and metal etc dumped here and we do still find it within this area.

On our farm, we have pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, bees, wasps, the occasional snake and macadamia trees. Please notify us if you or anyone in your group is allergic and ensure you pack your EpiPen.

We have two composting toilets throughout the farm that all visitors are welcome to use. Please be aware that the facilities are very basic. We also have two brand new portaloos located at the Education Hub, adjacent to the Childrens Garden.

All participants must:

Wear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals please, adults & children) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Bring a hat and sunscreen or rain gear, depending on the weather forecast.
Please ensure to bring a refillable water bottle, all taps on the farm are drinkable water.

Getting here

The Green Connect Farm is located at 6 Anna Avenue, Warrawong. There is a small sign at the end of the driveway, but be aware that it can be hard to find! We recommend using a GPS if you have one. Please park on the street and walk in through the farm gate.

The Farm Playgroup will take place in our Childrens Garden & Education Hub as well as occasionally going throughout the farm to visit the animals, see the gardens and other such adventures. When you arrive, walk through the bamboo fence on the right of the driveway, and come into the Education Hub and sign-in and then make your way into the Childrens Garden.

Weather notice

Rain or shine, the Green Connect farm is a wonderful place to visit. Please make sure to come prepared for the weather. We don't cancel events in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Getting wet & muddy is all part of the fun! There is a dry area you can leave bags. We suggest bringing a towel and change of clothes for after!

COVID-19 and Important Information

To ensure our visitors are safe while visiting the farm, we are consistently reviewing our COVID-safe procedures to ensure we are following all NSW Health and Government guidelines.

Please do not visit the Green Connect Farm if you’re unwell, have experienced cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days, or have returned from overseas in the last 14 days. If you need to postpone your visit due to illness, please let us know ASAP. Cancellations are subject to our regular refund policy.

If we are required to cancel the program for any reason, all Single Day ticket-holders will be offered a full refund, credit or transfer to another event. For Term passes we will offer a credit for the cost of the cancelled program only.
