The What

A safe space workshop with therapists TJ & Hannah exploring mindfulness & movement practices to:

  • support those experiencing dysphoria

  • facilitate strategies for managing incongruence

  • teach grounding & nervous system regulation tools

The Where/When/How

  • Sunday September 27th from 10am-12pm (18+)

  • $10 (reach out if the fee is a barrier!)

  • Midwest Movement Collective: 1140 Monroe Ave NW #2103, Grand Rapids (parking lot)

  • Wear comfortable clothing for gentle movement (no shoes in the studio, bare feet or socks)

Gender expansive folks, this workshop is for you! TJ brings his experiences as a trans man and mental health clinician, and Hannah brings her work as a somatic movement artist and mental health clinician to this safe space workshop. This event is sponsored by Grand Rapids Specialty Therapy & hosted by the Midwest Movement Collective.

  • What should I wear?

    Wear comfortable clothing for gentle movement. No shoes are allowed in the studio, but bare feet and socks are welcome!

  • Where should I park?

    The studio has a free, on-site parking lot.

  • Can I take the city bus?

    Yes! The 2 and the 11 buses have nearby stops.

  • Can I bring a friend?

    Yes! Please make sure they register too.

  • What should I bring?

    You may want to bring a water bottle and a device or notepad-- these are not required though!
