Finding the Deeper Song: Building a Personal Practice with Vibration

Or should I say frequency explorers? 

Have you ever thought of yourself this way? A core truth to our experience can be discovered when we start to recognize our relationship to frequency and the mysteries of interaction between the infinite vibrational laws and structures which shapes our reality. Your heart is beating in rhythm, your organs form harmonic relationships through their cycles and symbiotic work. We are truly an orchestra! Do you want to learn more about our fundamental frequency nature and how a healing practice with sound can change your life? 

During this 10 hour playshop we will be coming together to go boldly into the intimate realms of sound and the mind, body, spirit, interaction. Get ready to unlock new possibilities for enhancing the healing capabilities within us and within our friends and loved ones. We will be exploring how to utilize simple tools such as the voice, singing bowls, frame drum, and tuning forks to bring the systems of the body back into functional harmony and ease, focus and expand the mind, and connect deeply with our essence, purpose, and spiritual nature.

We will be approaching the personal therapeutic use of sound through 3 distinct avenues, together which all form an integrated whole. We will explore the lenses of the heart and the emotional impacts of music, the mind and the conceptual/technical/physical aspects of music including basic theory and science, as well as the spiritual components of music and how it affects us through a metaphysical and nonphysical way. Each of these pathways will have instrumental and vocal components which articulate the concepts in a tangible experiential fashion, enhancing our understanding through hands on play and experimentation. We will create a shared well of knowledge which builds strong ties of comradeship and community care. The language and concepts offered will be presented in a non-denominational and a way which offers no particular dogma or belief system other than reverence for life.

Through sound we can create strong pathways of health and wellbeing which can become lighthouse beacons calling us back at times of stress or pain. Life is a challenging journey, yet beautiful and rewarding, and working with the bio feedback aspects of sound create space for reflection and alignment in an organic and ancient way. As we witness the sound being created by ourselves, we develop a relationship with it, and desire to create more harmony and resonance. By increasing our resonance, we begin to create ripples which effect the world around us. Our goal here is to find ways to radiate peace, love, joy, acceptance, grace. Logistics:

The workshop will be at Sacred Roots Healing in Easthampton at the Eastworks building, Suite 247. On April 13 & 14th we will begin at 10:00 am EST and end 4:00pm EST. There will be a 1 hour break for lunch and the workshop price also includes a full sound journey on April 13th with Nash from 6-8pm also in room 247.

There are recommended instrument packages which will be available at a discounted rate through Gongs Unlimited and Bowls Unlimited 

Bring a journal, water bottle, and a positive, focused attitude! There will be some instruments available, but you are also welcome to bring your own singing bowls and frame drums if you have them or purchase them for the class. 

About the facilitator: Nash Atkins, founder of the sound journey and healing practice “The Deeper Song” lives his life to share the power and magic of sound with others. Nash has been studying and performing music since the age of seven and now has become proficient at many instruments and mastered several. After graduating Berklee College of Music in 2014 and going through a profound spiritual awakening, he sought to bring people to higher states of consciousness and deep healing by sharing music with the community. This began with founding Musical Chordination, a group of 3 musicians unlocking creativity and improvisation for self realization. The trio worked with organizations such as Mountainside Treatment Center, The Center for Motivation and Change, YMCA youth camps, various festivals such as Unifier, Tribal Gathering, Frendly Gathering Vermont, and many yoga centers. When the group went their separate ways, Nash formed “The Deeper Song” in 2018, after continuing his spiritual education with the study of many healing modalities including nutrition, breathwork, meditation, several styles of yoga, and mindfulness. Since then, the practice has evolved to incorporate private sound tuning sessions, epic sound journeys, intentional performances, and even facilitating/DJing Ecstatic Dance. “The Deeper Song” has traveled around Massachusetts, Vermont, New York and Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, and New Hampshire performing and giving sound Journeys since the formation of this practice. From the well of Cosmic Love, Nash connects intuitively with each person’s (and the group’s) soul frequency to release trapped trauma, pain, and emotions and renew everyone's contact with limitless joy and creativity.
