Firefly & Glow Worm Nature Walk 1
Event description
Have you ever wanted to see the magic of fireflies for yourself, but thought you had to travel overseas to see them? How about getting up close and personal with a magical glow worm colony?
Come join me for an evening where we get to witness the brief and precious spectacle of firefly mating season in the Illawarra, learn how to take amazing photos and how to preserve the colonies and natural habitats for future generations.
Meet in the Cascade Falls carpark for a brief talk and then walk to the viewing area as a group. This event is covered by a National Parks Eco-Pass, and all participants must be supervised.
The Cascade Falls area is part of a natural environment, and as such you will be exposed to wild plants and animals. There may be mosquitos, leaches and ticks. Enclosed footwear is essential and long pants/sleeves recommended.
