Forest Bathing & Deep Rest
Description
Forest Bathing & Deep Rest
Step away from the noise and into nature’s embrace.
This 90 minute experience weaves together the grounding benefits of forest bathing with the deeply restorative practice of Yoga Nidra (a lying down meditation). Nestled on private bushland at the edge of Wombat State Forest, you’ll be guided to slow down, connect with the natural world, and return home to yourself.
We begin by arriving slowly, feeling the ground beneath our feet, breathing fresh forest air, and noticing what’s around and within. A gentle and easy walk (~5 minutes) leads us into the heart of the forest. Here, we create our rest nests (with blankets and pillows) among the flora, fungi, and birdsong, and settle into a guided Yoga Nidra practice created with the intention to soothe the nervous system and invite deep, nurturing rest.
What's provided
Yoga mats, cushions, and eye pillows for comfort while resting in the forest.
Freshly brewed herbal tea to enjoy as we gently integrate back into the day.
What to bring
A cosy blanket, a water bottle, and anything else you need to feel comfortable and supported.
All rest-nest items can be transported for you to the site, allowing us to move through the forest with lightness and ease.
Important notes
This gathering takes place outdoors in a forest environment. While care is taken to choose a safe and suitable location, natural elements such as uneven ground, fallen branches, and weather conditions are part of the experience. By attending, you acknowledge these factors and agree to take responsibility for your own comfort and safety.
In the event of strong winds, storms, heavy rainfall, or extreme heat, the session may be postponed or cancelled to prioritise safety. If this occurs, you’ll be notified by email and offered either a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
