Description

Slow down. Tune in. Reconnect.

Set amongst the trees at Kuitpo Forest, this guided forest bathing session leads you through simple, sensory invitations designed to slow your pace, quiet your mind, and reconnect you with nature.

The theme of SEED runs throughout the experience, serving as a metaphor for slow beginnings, growth, and resilience. Through gentle prompts to notice, listen, feel, and reflect, this session creates space for connection to take root, spreading outwards from self, to community, to the wider world.

This isn't a hike. There's no destination, no fitness required, and nowhere to rush to. It's a chance to wander slowly, notice what's around you, and arrive fully in the present moment - remembering that we are part of nature, not separate from it.

Why it's special:

  • Guided by a Qualified Forest Bathing Practitioner

  • Backed by research showing benefits including mood, sleep, immunity, and focus

  • Small group size, so the experience stays personal and intimate

  • Intentionally slow-paced - no rush, no expectations

Please note:

This session is designed for adults (18+) to allow for a fully immersive, reflective experience.

Each session requires a minimum of 7 participants to proceed. If fewer register, it may be rescheduled.

Quietly Wild may cancel or shorten sessions due to unsafe conditions, with refund or reschedule options.

FAQs

  • Is there swimming involved?

No swimsuit is needed! The “bathing” part comes from the Japanese Shinrin-yoku, which translates as “forest bath”. In practice, this is immersing one's senses in the atmosphere of the forest.

  • What should I wear/bring?

Wear supportive shoes, layered clothing, and long sleeves/pants for protection. Don’t forget waterproofs, sun protection, and skip strong perfumes.

Bring something you can carry to sit on (mat, blanket, or chair), a backpack for your belongings, water, snacks, insect repellent, and anything else that makes you comfortable.

  • Do I have to walk far?

Not at all - walks are typically 1-1.5 km. It’s about moments, not metres!

  • What if it rains?

Sessions usually go ahead except in severe weather. Light rain can make the forest even more magical—heightening scents, sounds, and the peaceful atmosphere. Just bring waterproofs!
